Annasaramadhana mandapa construction - Kamabala Srinivasa Rao

In November, a significant step was taken towards the construction of an Anna Samaradhana Mandapam within the premises of Sri Subrahmanyeshwara Swamy temple, located in Fazullabad village, Devipatnam Mandal, near Gokavaram. This mandapam is being built to serve Annaprasada, or free food, to devotees and visitors, symbolizing the temple’s dedication to community service and hospitality. A generous donation of Rs. 5 lakh has been provided by Kambala Srinivasa Rao and his wife, natives of Gokavaram village and now settled in Hyderabad, to support this initiative.

The foundation stone-laying ceremony was held at Srivalli Mukhadwaram in the temple grounds, marking the beginning of the Annaprasada distribution building project. The event was attended by esteemed members of the community, including former Society President Dasari Tammannadora, Ammavari Sevakwa Mamidi Ayyappa, Tamarla Rambabu, and Inakoti Bapanna Dora, along with numerous other devotees and well-wishers.

This project aims to enhance the facilities for devotees visiting the temple, providing them with a dedicated space to partake in Annaprasada offerings. The building will serve as a community gathering place, reinforcing the spirit of unity and devotion. The Kambala family’s contribution, along with the support from the Hyderabad-based devotee community, demonstrates their enduring commitment to preserving and supporting religious and cultural traditions.

In addition, every female devotee who attended the event received a symbolic one-gram Varalakshmi dollar. This generous gesture was not merely a gift but a token of unity and inclusivity, ensuring that every woman left with a keepsake embodying the goddess’s blessings. The distribution of these Varalakshmi dollars underscored the essence of the Jatara: a festival that not only reveres the goddess Mutyalamma Ammavaru but also fosters community solidarity, gratitude, and shared joy.
